Frist order of Pin Piles shipped out

The first shipping of Pin Piles via the new heavy lift platform in Nordenham-Blexen (HLT Blexen) was finished in June 2015.

Last week the last of total 31 Pin Piles left the fabrication yard and went to Rotterdam by coaster. The Pin Piles with a diameter of 2.5 m have a length of up to 50 m and a weight of up to 100t. The series products have been sent directly to the construction site in the Rotterdam harbour where they were immediately hammered into the soil. Heavy and large diameter Pin Piles are besides the Monopile Foundation Systems a product line of Steelwind which now is successfully qualified.

The Pin Piles - delivery already started in May 2015 – were shipped to Rotterdam and directly hammered into the soil. Since the end of June the first ships could moor.
